The Corporation has helped more than 200,000 people with state rental accommodation.

In 2006/07 the Corporation also helped:

  • 2,194 households to improve the warmth and dryness of their homes with energy efficiency improvements
  • 1,841 people with complex needs by providing case management support
  • 1,070 people to buy their own home through a Welcome Home Loan
  • 1,067 households to improve their living standards through the Healthy Housing Programme
  • 926 people in need with extra state homes
  • 688 refugees into homes
  • 613 households to get a modernised and improved house
  • 384 additional units to be provided (447 beds) through the Housing Innovation Fund
  • 357 essential repair loans for people to repair privately-owned substandard rural homes
  • 90 households in rural areas with infrastructure improvements
  • 30 people obtain a Low Deposit Rural Loan to buy a home
  • 10 community groups to lease homes for residents with special help or welfare needs
