House of the Year 2009 - open for entries
Entries for this year's Housing New Zealand Community Development Award are open until 6 March 2009.
Housing New Zealand sponsors the Award as part of the annual House of the Year competition run by the Federation of Registered Master Builders to show its support for the quality construction of social housing.

Our Award category recognises building excellence in the construction of new homes (or renovations in excess of $100,000 to existing homes) that are owned by local councils, government or other organisations, for people with social support needs. This can include housing for older people, vulnerable groups or people with special needs. The work needs to have been carried out by Registered Master Builders.
Recent residential developments that meet a social need and have been completed by 6 March 2009 using a Registered Master Builder will qualify for this Award.
