Top tips around the home to save cash and the environment
Housing New Zealand has produced an A2 poster outlining easy ways to reduce power bills.
The poster is available in all Neighbourhood Units, Heartland Service Centre and Outreach Centres, and offers tenants simple ideas to cut down on their power consumption while saving money – and the environment – in the process.
Top tips include making the switch to energy-efficient light bulbs (a saving of $65 a year), replacing a daily bath with a five-minute showers (a saving of $180 a year), and washing a full load of washing in cold water (a saving of $120 a year).
