Affordable Housing: Enabling Territorial Authorities Act
The Government has announced a review of the Affordable Housing: Enabling Territorial Authorities Act.
The outcome of the review will be published here once it is released.
In the meantime, Housing New Zealand has developed some basic guidelines to help Territorial Authorities assess their local housing market. These basic guidelines are available on request by phoning Fiona Fowles, on 09 439 3808.
The Centre for Housing Research Aotearoa New Zealand (CHRANZ), has released a comprehensive step-by-step manual for Territorial Authorities wanting to undertake detailed assessments of current and future housing demand and needs in their area. This manual is available through www.chranz.co.nz.
